It’s my anniversary today (26 years), and because I didn’t get him a card (I’ve been sick and/or traveling a lot), I thought I’d take a page out of Letterman’s entertainment book and list the reasons why I am happy with the choice I made.

10. At our wedding I got to hire a string quartet to play for me us.

9. He truly likes to see romantic movies with me.

8. He can fix pretty near anything I break.

7. He rubs my feet when I ask him.

6. When I call the house phone from bed on weekends, he answers with a smile and says, “Room service.” (And yes, I can hear his smile – that’s how well I know him.)

5. He thinks I’m pretty and tells me often.

4. He’s THE best hugger in the universe.

3. He’s the most honest and trustworthy person I know.

2. He’s a kind and loving father. Which brings me to the number one
reason I’m glad I married the man I did:

    • I was looking at photos yesterday and there was one of our URI group. I thought about posting it here, except for the fact that it includes someone (who shall remain nameless) I wasn’t so eager to look at in perpetuity on my blog.

  5. Nice segway! He’d have to go a ways to beat El Boyfriendo in a hugging contest, but I’ll give him the benefit of the doubt for now.

    He sounds like a real gem – they both do. Congratulations! And for the record, I think you’re pretty too! And pretty cool! 🙂

    • We should have a hug-off between the two!! And yes, my Bob (Bobarino, as I like to call him) is definitely a gem. Thanks for you good wishes and the compliments.

      p.s. The seways were rentals two years ago on our anniversary. First time ever riding one. I am saving my pennies so that I can buy my own because I LOVE THEM!! I should have enough pennies saved to cover the cost by the year 2043 or so.

    • Thank you, Ronnie. Every year on our anniversary I think of Marian and what faith she had in Bob and I and our love. It would make her happy, I think, if she were still here to know that our love is as true now as it was then. I’m happy I found you through Facebook, in part because you remind me so of her.

I’m so glad you posted such a lovely & sincere sentiment about your blessed marriage to each other. And I agree with everything you have stated about your blissfull event  Both of you compliment one another. I’m just  annoyed with my self for not rmembering it. Time is traveling much to fast for me now a days. Love you both, so very much, Celebrate! Dance!  Have the kind of a day, you’ll cheerish alway. mom

    It’s August 1st again, another year zipped by with way too much ease and speed. This year we have opted to spend the evening with the Boy, followed by a weekend in Boston. We’re finally going to do the Freedom Trail walk. If you see us somewhere along the way, wish us a Happy 27th.
